Overview
The Tetra Pak Tetra Therm Aseptic Drink (TTA Drink) is a beverage pasteurization module engineered for heat-treating juice and still drinks ahead of aseptic or hot-fill packaging. It sits in the beverage-processing tier of a Tetra Pak line, upstream of the filler, delivering the controlled thermal treatment that secures commercial sterility and shelf stability. Built around indirect heat exchange with product-to-product heat recovery, it targets producers who need reliable, lower-cost pasteurization for ambient juice and still-drink ranges. In the used market it is acquired to add or replace beverage heat-treatment capacity within an existing aseptic line.
Technical Specifications
The TTA Drink heats product through a plate or tubular heat exchanger with product-to-product regeneration, then holds it at target temperature before cooling for aseptic or hot filling. The process sequence runs pre-sterilisation, aseptic water circulation and production under automated control. Documented units span outputs from 10,000 to 13,000 litres per hour, with a recorded example at 12,000 l/h. Tubular heat exchangers of the Spiraflo type are documented for higher heat-recovery efficiency.

Applications
The TTA Drink is used to pasteurize fruit juices, nectars, still drinks and teas for filling into aseptic cartons and aseptic or hot-filled PET bottles. It serves juice and still-drink producers who need shelf-stable, ambient-distribution beverages with controlled vitamin retention and minimal product loss. As an in-line module it feeds aseptic tanks and downstream fillers, and is commonly integrated with blending and dosing equipment to build a complete juice or still-drink processing line.
Known Configurations
Documented configurations include the TTA Drink 100 at 10,000 l/h, the TTA Drink SAD 13200 at 13,000 l/h and a 12,000 l/h build. Units are documented with plate or tubular (Spiraflo) heat exchangers, Allen-Bradley PLC control and associated pumps and valves. Configurations range from a standalone pasteuriser skid to a complete aseptic pasteurisation plant supplied with heat exchanger, control panel and process pipework.
