Automatic self-cleaning melt filter
The filter was newly installed in 2017 and has been operating in 16-hour shifts to regenerate LDPE film from post industrial waste.
The filter has always been used in scraper mode; the optional kit for counterflow operation has never been used and is therefore brand new.
Spare screens of 100, 150, and 200 microns are included.
The unit is ready for connection via industrial connectors, making it plug-and-play on any system.
Since it was used to replace a conventional filter on an existing extruder, temperature control is managed by the extruder side.
The filter has its own control panel, managed by a PLC and capable of exchanging all signals with the system.
A remote assistance module is also included.
Before shutting it down, a report was generated by Fimic.
