MachinePoint recommendations for preparing a successful K 2019

MachinePoint will exhibit once again at K 2019. We will be presenting our used machinery, engineering and consulting services to the industry.

This year K team is offering new tools to help visitors and exhibitors maximize their trade fair and travel expenses.

Here are some recommendations MachinePoint´s trade fairs team gives to K visitors so they can get the most out of visiting this trade fair.

1 Buy your ticket online

Ticket prices are much cheaper when bought online. 1 day K- ticket online goes for 49 euros versus 75 euros if you buy it at the fair.

Also you will avoid queues and wasting time if you purchase your tickets online.

These are currently the prices for K 2019 tickets, please pay attention and the price difference between online and on-the-door tickets:

How to buy a ticket for K 2019?

K tickets are personalized, this means that firstly you need to register and give your full contact details and then procced to the ticket shop. Only once you are registered you can purchase a ticket.

Please be aware that being personalized tickets you will be asked to fill in your full name. Each ticket will come with your name on it. You won’t be able to change the name later on.

You can buy multiple tickets from your registration, but if they are for different people each of them will need to register individually to be able to redeem the ticket you have bought for them with their name. K requires that each visitor registers individually in order to give them a ticket. All tickets are personalized, anonymous tickets do not exist for K shows.

If you have been sent a voucher for a free ticket, you also need to register to be able to redeem the voucher and get your free ticket.

K 2019 takes place in Düsseldorf, a busy German city. Public transport is popular in Germany and usually works perfectly and is punctual. Public transport is the best way to access the K show if you have access to a station close to your hotel.

With your K 2019 entry ticket you can travel to and from the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Center free of charge on Rheinbahn, Rhine-Ruhr Regional Transport Network routes (VRR, 2nd class, trains without additional fees in fare zone D) as well as Rhine-Sieg Regional Transport Network routes (VRS, 2nd class, trains without additional fees).

4 Define your objectives when visiting K 2019

What are you planning to achieve on visiting this trade fair? Are you looking for new providers? Do you want to get to know certain technologies or new products or machines? Do you want to carry out market research or use K 2019 for training purposes for your employees? Are you going there to meet certain people and close business?

Defining your objectives clearly before going will determine who you meet and in which priority.

However, trade fairs like K are also inspirational and eye opening, reserving a bit of time to walk without an objective can help boost your ideas and creativity.

5 Plan your visits ahead to make the most of your time at the K 2019

K 2019 is a huge trade fair with over 3200 exhibitors spread over 16 halls. Preparing what you want to see ahead is highly advisable if you want to maximize your time. Otherwise you risk getting lost in the amount of information and exhibitors. Now that you have defined your objectives, it is important to select which companies you will visit. Be realistic with the amount of them you want to visit according to the time you will be at the fair.

K web site offers various tools for planning your visits during the K:

Matchmaking

This tool lets you schedule up to 50 meetings with visitors or exhibitors. This is an amazing tool because you can arrange meetings with both exhibitors but also visitors that have registered, giving you huge opportunities to network.

Making upfront appointments ensures you you will get attended in busy booths. Also if you tell exhibitors upfront what your needs are they can prepare for a more personalize meeting with you during the fair.

You can enter Matchmaking via your PC following this link: https://matchmaking.grip.events/k2019matchmaking/app/home

Or you can download its App by searching for K matchmaking on your mobile.

You can only access this tool once you have registered and purchased your K entry ticket, using same login and password.

MyOrganizer

With this tool you can create a list of the exhibitors you want to visit, plan your routes along the K floor and add personal notes to each exhibitor. It does not let you contact with other visitors like Matchmaking does, and neither does it let you arrange meetings at certain date and time. It is mainly useful to shortlist exhibitors and their locations. Remember K is huge and walking from one point to the other side of the exhibition can take a lot of time and effort. Planning a route is important to capitalize your time!

You can only access this tool once you have purchased your K entry ticket for K with the same login and password.

You can enter My K organizer here: https://www.k-online.com/en/Visitors/Services_for_visitors/MyOrganizer

K app

K has developed this app so you can have all your shortlisted exhibitors in your mobile even off line. It is only available in English and in German.

You also need to be registered and have bought a K ticket to access the app.

You can download the app on your mobile and it provides you with the following information:

Trade fair selection

Exhibitor and product search

Event database

Trade fair and exhibitor news

Interactive hall map

Bookmarking of exhibitors and products
