PLASTINDIA 2023: MachinePoint successfully consolidates its presence in the Indian market

MachinePoint Team at PlastIndia 2023 show

PlastIndia has closed its eleventh edition becoming one of the most relevant trade fairs in the plastics industry. With figures comparable to those of the world’s largest trade fairs such as the K, this was an appointment that MachinePoint could not miss.

Our colleagues Marco Marchiorello and Jaime Presa, together with our representative in India, Drhuvin Gajjar, went to New Delhi to assist all the customers who crowded the MachinePoint’s booth.

With nearly 250,000 visitors PlastIndia 2023 has been a success, and our sales director of the plastics division, Marco Marchiorello, is sure of the reason. “It is a country with great potential, plastic consumption per person today is much lower than in Europe or the United States, but it is growing exponentially”. In addition, he stresses that “health habits are changing, and that means a greater consumption of plastic food packaging. A change that in a country of more than one billion people represents a large volume of business.”

He also noted the importance of recycling and the circular economy there. A subject of which he is convinced has a huge future in India, and that these days has been evident given the great interest that has been generated by all kinds of recycling machines.

Finally, Marchiorello believes that attending PlastIndia has been a total success and is sure that MachinePoint will be back in 2026. He also doesn’t want to miss the opportunity to highlight the importance of the recent addition of Dhruvin Gajjiar to the company. “In India it is crutial to be seen, this has been a great opportunity to give us that visibility, and to spend more time with our partner who is bound to give us the expected results.”

With the same enthusiasm Dhruvin talks about his first fair as MachinePoint representative. He emphasizes the professionalism and importance of a company like ours at PlastIndia. “Working with my colleagues has been an excellent experience,” as he points out the support and companionship he has felt these last days being part of our team.

Regarding the used machinery market, he agrees on the great potential India has, especially in recycling. He believes that the war in Ukraine has had a direct impact on the market due to price increases and strong competition, even so, he points out that India continues to be a growing market.

Gajjar also tells us that at this time it is important to generate potential customers from large companies “They are the ones that show the greatest interest in quality European machinery, especially now with long delivery times for new machinery.” He goes on to state,” Small companies are currently focusing more on Indian brands because of the lower price”.

One more fair concludes with the commitment and professionalism that the entire MachinePoint team demonstrates in each and every event, making the difficult easy and with the best catalog of used machinery in the plastics industry.
